Daytona Beach and spring break – two things that will always go together like peanut butter and jelly, or like manatees and Daytona boat tours! During this time of year, people flock from all over the country to spend their spring break under the bright Florida sun. That doesn’t mean that all the fun is restricted to guests visiting from out of town! Residents of the Greater Daytona Region can also partake in all our area’s best spring break activities. Continue reading to learn what you can try during spring break this year!

Daytona Beach Boardwalk

The Daytona Beach Boardwalk is one of the most popular Daytona Beach attractions year-round, but it’s an especially noteworthy destination during spring break. Breath-taking beach views mix perfectly with the lively atmosphere of everything that Daytona Beach Boardwalk has to offer. Stop by any of the arcades and other amusements to play games with loved ones, or stop for a bite to eat that you can only find right by the ocean.

Jackie Robinson Ballpark

The spring season for our local Daytona Tortugas tees off in early April. If you or any of your loved ones are a sports fanatic, then a visit to Jackie Robinson Ballpark is a must! The stadium officially got its name in 1990, in honor of the first African American to play in a Major League Baseball game. Stop by to take in incredible bites of baseball’s history while enjoying the latest Tortugas game.

Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse

This remarkable landmark is Florida’s tallest lighthouse, and it can be found south of Daytona Beach. After climbing to the top of its 175 feet, you can soak in panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the quaint beauty of Ponce Inlet. Originally constructed in 1887, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse has been a fixture of the Florida coast for over a full century. To this day, it is preserved by a volunteer committee of history enthusiasts who are committed to keeping the lighthouse as beautiful as it was in 1887 – if not more so.
